Today, we just deployed some new features that affect validation within the application. We now check to make sure that the termination dates for employees correctly fall after the hired on date. Also, we no longer require address fields for participants. Address fields are now optional. This was something that several TPAs requested, and we are happy to simplify the process of adding participants.
You can now use the MM/DD/YY date format in any date field (the “YY” part wasn’t possible until now). A lot of people like to enter dates this way so hopefully this makes the app a bit more usable.
In addition to this, all date & time values now display as Eastern Time (US & Canada), a.k.a. EDT.
Before today, there was no way for a TPA to provide a reason for rejecting contributions or a census back to a plan sponsor (apart from calling or sending a separate email). Now, clicking the “Reject” action allows for an optional rejection reason which is included in the email notification to the plan sponsor, and is displayed on their rejected contribution or census.
Today, we released support for clean print layouts. Sending your RetireHQ screens to the printer never looked better. We’re not big printers, but our customers tell us they are.
We just deployed a help video about our new census feature. This video is accessible on our tour page and in the application under the Censuses tab.
We postponed this feature for too long, but now it’s available. In case you forget your RetireHQ password, TPAs and their plan sponsors now have the opportunity to request a reset of their password. Just click the “I forgot my password” link from the login screen of your account.
We just updated our website to reflect some of the new features we added recently. Check it out! We hope to update the tour videos in upcoming weeks.
We just deployed the biggest release since our launch. Most notably, the census module is now available. Your clients can now submit their yearly census information through the RetireHQ web interface. It’s secure, fast, and convenient.
Many other features and bug fixess were also deployed with this release. Here are a few:
We look forward to hearing your feedback. Please contact us if you have any questions about this update.
At around 9:53am EST on July 10, 2008, we experienced approximately 10 minutes of downtime. This was caused by an unforeseen application load error. We were able to recover from the problem quickly, but we will keep an eye on this problem. We apologize for this inconvenience and hope no one was adversely affected.
We just made our new uptime report public. This tracks when our application has (or hasn’t) been up and running. This report will always be available in the sidebar.
We will be upgrading some of our server software at 8pm EST on June 25, 2008. The application will be unavailable for about 5 minutes or so. This update should fix some intermittent Firefox 3 issues that some have experienced.
We just deployed a fix for a bug that displayed employee rehire dates incorrectly. All dates were stored accurately, but we just weren’t displaying them correctly. This is now resolved.
We just deployed a simple feature to avoid the accidental double posting of the same form. We experienced some problems with large imports related to this, and we hope this feature helps solve that.
